Grants in Action

THS and FMS Choir Director Reece Kingcade received grants for guest clinicians to work with choir students throughout the year. Additionally, three students received grants to attend the All State Choir Competition.

Manuel Palos received funds for two teachers to attend the Conference for the Advancement of Science Teaching (CAST).

Mrs. Graham received a grant called Read Reach Rise, which will purchase high interest chapter, intermediate, and beginner books.

Mrs. Kayser received a grant for 150 sharks to allow her students a hands-on dissection experience.

The Terrell High School Robotics Program received a grant to provide funding to host a regional robotics tournament at the Terrell ExCEL

W.H. Burnett has received multiple grants to expand their hands on and immersive play centers that connect learning through imaginative play.

Mrs. Lopez received a grant to provide learning resources for bilingual students at Gilbert Willie Elementary.

Mrs. Morris received a large grant for the purchase of a plasma cutter and additional upgrades to the welding lab.
